Here it is the Bounty Hunter Armor Loot Guide
Note: Post CU since v4.0
NPCs to loot:
- BlackSun Henchman (CL 88 - Melee only)
www.swgcenter.com/PointSystem/PS_Beast.asp?ID=4564
- BlackSun Thug (CL 88 - Melee/Ranged)
www.swgcenter.com/PointSystem/PS_Beast.asp?ID=4563
- BlackSun Guard (CL 89 - Melee/Ranged)
www.swgcenter.com/PointSystem/PS_Beast.asp?ID=4561
- BlackSun Assassin (CL 89 - Melee/Ranged)
www.swgcenter.com/PointSystem/PS_Beast.asp?ID=4562
Pre and Post CU differences:
- Pre-CU looted and converted BH Armor has resists, is WEARABLE, has "Crafted" behind the name of the Armor piece. If you "dismantle" it (radial option), it becomes like a post-CU looted one.
- Post-CU looted BH Armor has condition, no resists, is NON-WEARABLE, can be used as a component to craft Mandalorian Armor Schematics in the DWB and has all the same color (well doesn't matter).
- Post-CU BH Armor schematics can be used by Armorsmiths to create a crafted post-CU BH Armor.
- Post-CU BH Armor has resists, is WEARABLE, can be made of different colours, cannot be dismantled and cannot be used to craft Mandalorian Armor Schematics in the DWB.
Spawn Frequency:
- rare
- usually 1 to 5 BlackSuns per spawn
Drop Rate:
- 1 out of 20 BlackSuns
- can be 1 out of 10 or 1 out of 200, just hang on! You'll end up with 1 out of 20 average
- each part has the same drop rate (except maybe the belt that seems harder to loot)
Spawn Locations:
- always wild spawns, often less than 3000m away from a starport
- dathomir: near Imperial Prison
- dathomir: south of NightSisters Stronghold
- yavin 4: north and north-west of mining outpost starport along beachs (on the grassy areas) and the north-west mountain
- yavin 4: between Geonosian Laboratory [-6454,-362] and woolamander palace
- endor: between smuggler outpost starport and the DeathWatch Bunker [-4671,+4237]
(never inside or outside around the entry unless below exception)
- endor: inside the DeathWatch Bunker [-4671,+4237]
(only the BS Assassins spawn near the end of the Hall, other BS here don't drop BH armor)
- endor: less than 400m away from [+0,+0] waypoint
(only the BS Assassins here might drop it because all BS here are wrapped from DWB)
Macro BsHunt:
/tar black;
/fol;
/pause 0.2;
/macro BsHunt;
Macro BsHuntEnd:
/stopfol;
/dump;
Generic Hunt Method:
- use a X34 landspeeder to make spawns easier to pop
- have macro BsHunt running while you look for them, as soon as you croos one, you speed will automatically go to them, then immediately stop it with BsHuntEnd
- if you are in a "not a single spawn of anything zone" just go back closer to a starport
- turn ON the "con" option of your radar, BS will appear red-circled on it (high chances that they will be the only ones red-circled)
- set your radar to 256m and examine only the pops of more or less 3 red dots without any yellow dot (to skip creatures faster)
- after that, do rounds 200m around the previous spawn location, normally the next spawn will be pretty close
- you may also want to bring a mount in case you get incapped so the blacksun will kill it instead of slaining you sometimes
- you can have a friend follow you when you look for them, you'll cause spawns, he'll see them more easily than you might do
Kill method:
- wait for the spawn to be fully poped before attacking
- each spawn will repop 3 times more after the initial one (4 spawns total)
- the 4th and last pop of a spawn location tends to depop fast as soon as you killed 1 BlackSuns of this pop
- for the firsts 3 pops, kill the blacksuns in this order: henchmen, thugs, guards and assassins ...they all deal the same amount of damage so it's better to erase the weak ones first
- for the 4th (and last) pop, kill the blacksuns in the reversed order: assassins, guards, thugs and henchmen ... it'll be faster to erase them before they might depop when the first is killed because the weakest only remain
- be aware that if a dob you put kill your target while you lost the agro you'll lose the loot rights
Yavin4 Hunt Method 1:
- start on the beach near the mining outpost
- walk along the beach killing everything you see
- get to the end and turn round and walk back to the outpost, again killing all spawns
- hint: doing it with a friend starting from the opposite end of the beach to go faster
Yavin4 Hunt Method 2:
- if you're having trouble with method 1
- head south of the Mountain to the Light Jedi Enclave [-5500,+4900]
- from the Enclave head west and cover that general area
- you may find some about 1000m west of the Enclave
- you may find a spawn on your way back to the outpost too
Yavin4 Hunt Method 3:
- drive along the beach for about 4k north of the mining outpost
- then head west until you are almost directly north of the Geonosian Laboratory
- you will most likely cross a spawn during the travel
Endor Hunt Method 1:
- go to the mountain area north/northwest of the research outpost (there's an ewok village)
- fly around the mountain and you will find a lot of spawns
Yavin4 Hunt Method 4:
- start off exiting the Mining Outpost on your X34 speeder
- ride up and down the west coast, zigzagging from the beach to about 200m into the forested area (covering a wider area and giving spawns more time to pop)
- once you hit the northern map boundary, hug it as you proceed N-NW along the invisible barrier
- there are frequently large spawns of BS right off of the map
- if they are within 64m, shoot them one at a time and run about 70m deeper into the map, and unequip your weapon (so they will close the distance and you can begin firing again)
- if you dont drag them far enough into the map, they have a habit of sliding back across the invisible barrier so you wouldn't be able to loot them because they ran back towards their spawn spot
- for the ones you cannot reach, send them a pet or droid to attack them then call it back close to you (it won't have any trouble going through invisible barrier of the map)
- when the BS gets in range, attack/taunt him to get him in your fighting area
- this will be rare to not find 3-5 spawns of Thug, Henchman and Assassin sitting in no man land over map's invible barriers
- when you hit the upper left corner, proceed back towards the moutain, cutting right over it and circling the crown 1 or 2 times (while dodging the insane amount of creature spawns there)
- if no BS are on the mountain, head towards the Jedi Enclave, then back to the Mining Outpost
- you will almost always pick up another 1-2 spawns on the way back using this route
Sightings:
- this is a start, but when you find a spawn select the BS, and do /way on him, when your hunt is over please report here all the waypoints coordinates so we'll first list them all then try to see if we can determinate precise areas of spawn (may be we won't be able to)

BlackSuns confirmed to loot
Henchman
Guard
Rumor:
- Being Ungrouped raise the loot ratio.
- Dathomir seems to spawn more BS per spawn than Yavin4
- Drop rate MIGHT vary depending on the planet virtual time (may only loot during the day or the night). To see this virtual time, press CTRL+SHIFT+G in game.
Armor Info:
- 10 parts
- Helmet, Chest, Leggs, Boots, Gloves, Belt, Biceps (x2), Bracer (x2)
- the armor is categorized in Assault category like the Mandalorian one.
- have a look (bottom)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
- is it better to hunt them at any particular in-game time?
... unknown to my knowledge, but I think it's probably a little easier to find a spawn at reboot.
- i saw BlackSuns on Talus and Rori, do they drop some BH armor?
... no they don't, these are part of some quest and do not drop BH armor.
- I get how to loot the non wearable mandalorian-ready BH Armor, but where do I get the schematics to wear my own BH Armor?
... you must be BH, do NPC bounty hunting and loot your dead mark. From time to time you'll get a schematic for a part of the armor
Other possible loot on these NPCs:
- from 500 to 3000 credits each
- JetPack Base (as often as a BH Armor loot)
Credits:
- all players that gave me info personally or posted about it
