Hiya all, Dolch has just been to visit the English barracks of our guild. I am going to write a precis of his visit here, in fact I would have done so already, but I have been very ill. So look back in a couple of days for some fascinating stories from his visit. The Rapides

Dolch arrived in England on Monday 16th April at Gatwick airport. He had decided to arrive at a very unsocial time of morning, at an airport, right at the southern side of the London's orbital motorway!! But there I was, bright and early, but was made to wonder if the usual brilliant habit of surperb timekeeping that we had so often witnessed by our Spanish friends would hold through this time; ie arrival time of early morning really meant mid-afternoon! But no - there was our friend Dolch walking through the arrivals gate, and giving me a huge wookiee hug. We drove back to our little house in Oxfordshire, and I often heard him muttering 'It's so green' . I am assuming he meant the landscape as opposed to a change of colour that may have befallen part of his body on the journey over. Vasdef was very pleased to see Dolch, but perro rapide was a different matter. However, once Dolch had been armed with a packet of doggy chocolates to bribe Jake with, he and Jake, el perro rapide, became the best of friends. He was obviously used to the bribing method to achieve the best results in his armourous adventures. I made him a much promised cup of tea, and an English speciality of toasted cheese on toast with HP sauce on. He was suitable impressed by both. After we had picked up Catie from school, we all went up to White Horse Hill www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/majorsites/uffington.htmlto see the ancient Chalk drawing on the hillside, and then along to Waylandsmithy www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/majorsites/waylands_smithy.htmla neolithic burial chamber. I must point out here, that Dolch absolutely did not fall over the rock at the entrance to the burial chamber as he tried to jump over it to enter it. He did not semi fly through the air, and hurt his knee as it hit the stone. It must have been someone else! We drove back home, and were met by Werner. We all had Spaghetti bolognese, and plenty of beer ( which is not lager!). That is all from Dolchs first day in England, more to come ..... Vicryl

I can confirm that Dolch did not fall over while jumping into a burial chamber crying Wikan Power! it did not happen and my memory has not been modified in any way...he did look silly though with his little bum in the air....

Day 2 of Dolch's visit ..... I had said to Werner that we needed Dolch to be at the train station by a certain time OR ELSE, and lo and behold, he was there!! (although Dolch did point out to me it was due to him, Werner is not known for his timekeeping!). We boarded the train expecting to pass the 45 minute train journey with talk of what we were doing that day in London. However, 15mins from London, the train hit and killed a 22 year old woman who was trying to cross the rail tracks. It was horrible to feel it happen. This delayed our train by many hours, as the police and ambulance etc etc had to arrive and investigate the accident. We played a game of squares, which smart-arsed Dolch obviously cheated to win so spectacularly! The buffet was made totally free, and they were begging us all to come and take the food and drink, so we obliged. We also played Hangman, and Catie and I almost managed to hang Dolch, but not quite. We eventually made it into London, and across to Tottenham Court Road tube station, then a short walk got us to the THE FORBIDDEN PLANET www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/the famous sci-fi book etc shop. Dolch was like a little excited schoolboy. Vasdef and Vesha were pretty excited too. Vicryl just needed the toilet!! After a quick cup of tea, we made our way over to the London Eye www.londoneye.com/Dolch had said he wanted to see London, so we thought that this was the best way to 'see' London. It was a beautiful sunny day, so could see far. Sorry to disappoint you Dolch, but England isn't permanently covered in fog, or even mist (gay fog). oooo, and by the way, Dolch did not trip up the stairs after visiting the toilets at the London eye. After our 'flight' on the london eye we walked over the Thames (on a bridge - even Dolch isn't that saintly to be able to walk on water) and saw the Houses of Parliament, BigBen and Westminster Abbey. We then made our way home, for a much needed cup of tea! We dropped Dolch off to where Werner was playing football with some work colleagues. Well, when I say 'playing' it is in the loosest possible way. It was very funny to watch, and I am afraid to say that I don't think any football club will be talent spotting Werner! As to what Dolch got up to on his night out with Werner in Oxford, well that is not for me to comment upon, bcz I was not there (I wasn't even invited either!!!) More to come .... Vicryl

Day 3 of Dolch's visit. Werner dropped off Dolch on his way to work. We had a quick cup of tea, and then set off for a days excursion. The first stop was StoneHenge. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StonehengeDolch had really wanted to see this amazing piece of ancient history. So we did not disappoint him. Unfortunately Doggies were not allowed in, and we had brought Jake with us, so Catie volunteered to stay in the car with the dog playing her Nintendo DS Lite, whilst we did the 'boring history stuff'. Dolch even managed to have his stonehenge commentary in Spanish, so is now able to fully explain the whole history of the place. The next stop was Woodhenge. www.this-is-amesbury.co.uk/woodhenge.htmlThis predates Stonehenge, but seeing as it was made of wood, it is no longer there, although the original post holes have been marked out by concrete posts. Jake was allowed into this bit, and took great delight in peeing upon as many of the posts as possible, not to mention how many times he was able to have a crap in 30 minutes!!! The next stop was the pub! We had a lovely lunch and beer (well the boys did), in the garden of a beautiful thatched cottage English country pub. Jake even had a thirst quenching bowl of water. He did turn his nose up at the Hobgoblins beer though! We then went on to Silbury hill. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silbury_HillThis is Europes largest burial mound, although no-one was actually buried under Silbury Hill. We were all amazed at just how big it was. Now the rest of us had left the contents of our bladder in the toilets at the Pub, but Dolch had not, and at this point he decided that the ancient and mysterious earth mound needed to be repopulated with Hobgoblins! lol The final stop was Avebury. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AveburyThe stone circle at Avebury encircles the village. And it also has a large bank and ditch. It was very awe-inspiring. Although Dolch was trying to prove that they were actually only just huge inflatable stones. There was only just one problem with this place - the field had lots of nettles in, and I had sandals on. I kept on getting stung, and getting zero sympathy! We went and had a look around the little village craft shop, and took the opportunity to buy something for Dolch, as a good luck for his future. It was a stone pendant of the Cerne Abbot giant. www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/majorsites/cerne_abbass.htmlWe thought it would bring luck in some aspects of his life anyway!! I dropped Dolch off at Werners house that evening, and Werner, Johdo, Johdos girlfriend and Dolch all went out for a night out in Oxford. Again rumours abound about what went on, but I do not care to comment upon third party information. But we did see the state they were all in the next day to believe just how pissed they had all been, especially Johdo. Johdo had managed to puke up in his girlfriends handbag, on her lap, in Werners car, and had been rather paralytic! OOO dear. More to come ... Vicryl

Hiya again, and we are on to the final day of Dolch's visit. Well, like I had already said, the boys went out the night before, and ooooo dear, they looked very rough the next day! Especially Johdo! Dolch got dropped around at our house by Werner, who was on his way to work. Dolch felt like a touch of chilling out, so we all sat and drank tea and introduced Dolch to Doctor Who, the newer series more recently been on in the UK. He loved it, well, what he saw of it anyway. At lunchtime, Werner, Johdo and Johdo's girlfriend arrived, for which I had made a special favourite pudding of the Spanish friends, Trifle. Werner had suggested I made it for Dolch to try (but I think he was thinking more of his own needs and desires!!). Well, as an example of how bad Johdo was feeling, he was unable to eat anything (he can usually eat people out of house and home). Although he did later ask if he could have a portion of trifle to take home with him for later!! Mid-afternoon I set off in the car with Dolch and took him to Gatwick airport, although we did hit bad traffic jams on the motorways (bollocks!). But we made it in time. We think Dolch had a good time over here with us, and we also hope that he will be back soonish; it had taken him long enough to come in the first place! Kisses from all the Rapides

Thanks to the Rapides and Wern&Joh for the time in UK. I really enjoyed a lot! Only to clarify a couple of things that Vic has wrote...I only jumped the way people does in Belgium & I noticed some kind of obsesive behaviour to hang me while playing against the Rapides (with word in 3 languages...), therefore I could not concentrate me in the pretty englishwoman who was going to apply for a job in Hamburg and that seemed obviously interested in ...my way of winning against all odds...
My best regards to my favourite english family and my most loathed couple of twins Dolchie Baby
PD: I really liked Dr Who...but I missed the scarf...

Vesha has stopped playing SWG but Vic is still there although mainly as Miell Conejo and not Vicryl. I still play Vasdef but without all the wikans its just not the same. I'm also playing Vanguard.
As a big fan of Tolkein I love LOTRO and I cant wait till I fix my computer problems and get to play it properly!

My first character in LOTRO is Ithilbor, an elf lore master. Yesterday i found Dolchoin and both of us were playing and making quest in Ered Luin. He left me in the Shire, but i managed to go to Bree, and i managed to go to the top of Amon Sul (weathertop). ¡¡It's amazing and very HUGE!!.
